AFOA Capacity Development Workshop:
Developing Business Plans and Funding Proposals
In the spring and winter of 2018, UNSM Capacity Development services hosted two, one-day workshops by AFOA Canada called, Developing Business Plans and Funding Proposals. This capacity development workshop assists participants to better understand the business planning process, the key elements of an effective business plan, and the key components of developing a successful funding proposal.
The first workshop took place on March 20, 2018 in Millbrook. Participants consisted of community members and staff from Mi’kmaw communities and organizations across Nova Scotia. The second workshop took place on December 11, 2018 in Dartmouth. Participants included members of the Tripartite Forum Economic Development Working Committee and community Economic Development Officers.
In cooperation with the Tripartite Forum Economic Development Working Committee, this project was funded by Indigenous Services Canada and the province of Nova Scotia.
